Four Output Voltage Options

Each of the four function versions (L/LP/LT/LO) is available in all four output voltage options — ensuring the right voltage for every LED installation requirement.

VoltageModel SuffixOutput CurrentTotal PowerUL Class 2Recommended Use
12V DCKS-100LW-12P8.33A100WStandard 12V LED strips, LED modules
24V DCKS-100LW-24P4.16A100W✓ Class 2Most popular — LED strips, signage, general use
36V DCKS-100LW-36P2.77A100W✓ Class 2Long LED strip runs (reduced voltage drop)
48V DCKS-100LW-48P2.08A100W✓ Class 2High-power LED fixtures, industrial, extended runs
24V DCKS-96LW-24P4.0A96W✓ Class 2Most popular — LED strips, signage, general use

Class 2 benefit: 24V, 36V and 48V models are UL Class 2 certified (UL 1310) — NEC Article 725 compliant, no licensed electrician required for output wiring. 12V model is rated 100W without Class 2 certification — suitable for applications where Class 2 is not required.

L Series —  Non-Dimmable Constant Voltage

The L Series non-dimmable compact LED driver is the primary product version of this platform — engineered for LED installations that require constant, stable brightness without built-in dimming capability.

This non-dimmable version is the preferred choice when the LED luminaire or fixture uses an external dimming control system such as a PWM controller, DMX decoder, relay-based building automation, or automated switching system. The constant voltage output ensures perfectly stable LED brightness regardless of load variations.

  • Constant voltage output: perfectly stable brightness, no flicker, no dimming artifacts — ideal for precision lighting applications
  • External dimming compatibility: works with PWM controllers, DMX512 decoders, DALI gateways, relay switching and building automation systems
  • Class 2 certified (24V/36V/48V): NEC Article 725 compliant output wiring, no licensed electrician required
  • IP65 slim aluminum case: fits standard 2-inch depth junction boxes, shallow ceiling plenums and narrow architectural coves
  • >88% efficiency + low operating temperature: extends LED lifespan and reduces energy costs

Compact Slim Case Design

The defining feature of the entire L/LP/LT/LO platform is its compact slim aluminum enclosure — engineered to solve the most common installation constraint in modern LED projects: limited space.

  • Slim profile aluminum case: fits inside standard 2-inch (50mm) depth electrical junction boxes, shallow ceiling plenums and narrow architectural coves — no external driver enclosure needed
  • Separate IP65 wiring compartments: input and output compartments with knock-outs for clean, watertight cable entry — prevents water ingress and simplifies wire routing
  • IP65 rated: sealed against dust and water jets — suitable for dry and damp indoor locations and covered outdoor installations
  • Lightweight aluminum construction: reduces mounting stress on ceiling tiles and light-fixture housings
  • Class P and Type HL certified: compatible with Class P LED modules and hazardous-location luminaires — simplifies luminaire certification

Universal AC Input —  Universal 100-277VAC

All four function versions and all four voltage options accept universal AC input 100–277VAC at 50/60Hz:

  • North America (120V / 277V): Full range supported — 277V commonly used for commercial lighting circuits
  • Europe / UK (220-240V): Full range supported — covers 220V to 240V range
  • Asia incl. Japan (100V / 200V): Full range supported — covers 100V Japanese standard
  • Universal (100-277VAC): Full range supported — ideal for multi-market OEM projects

Technical Highlights

  • 4 function versions × 4 voltages: L / LP / LT / LO series cover every requirement — non-dimmable, 5-in-1, TRIAC, 4-in-1 — in one compact mechanical platform
  • Compact slim aluminum IP65 case: fits standard 2-inch depth junction boxes, shallow ceiling plenums and narrow architectural coves
  • 4 voltage options: 12V / 24V / 36V / 48V DC — covers every common low-voltage DC application
  • L Series non-dimmable main version: constant voltage output, compatible with external PWM/DMX/BMS controllers

Which voltage option should I choose — 12V, 24V, 36V or 48V?
Choose based on your specific LED load and installation requirements: 24V DC is the most popular choice — it offers the best balance of current (4.16A) and wire gauge (standard 18AWG LED wire), and is the standard voltage for most residential and commercial LED strip projects. The 24V model is also Class 2 certified, meaning no licensed electrician is required for output wiring in North America. 12V DC (100W / 8.33A) is for applications specifically requiring 12V LED strips or modules — common in automotive, marine and some retail displays. Note: the 12V model is NOT Class 2 certified. 36V DC (Class 2 certified) reduces voltage drop over longer cable runs — ideal for large installations where the driver must be located far from the LED load. 48V DC (Class 2 certified) is designed for high-power LED fixtures and very long cable runs — the lower current (2.08A) means thinner wire can be used, reducing material and installation cost. All four voltages are available in all four function versions (L/LP/LT/LO).
