The NT Series 60W TRIAC Dimmable LED Driver is KSPOWER’s durable, compact constant voltage LED dimming power supply — designed specifically for the North American residential and commercial market where 120V AC / 60Hz is the standard, and TRIAC dimming via standard wall dimmer switches is the most common dimming method.

The defining advantage of this driver is its built-in junction box with 2 knock-outs — eliminating the need for a separate junction box in the installation. This super-compact aluminum enclosure houses all the electronics, the junction box wiring compartment, and the dimming circuitry in a single, elegant unit that installs in minutes with professional results.

The NT Series is available in two independent single-voltage models: 12V DC (5.0A / 60W) and 24V DC (2.5A / 60W). Both models carry full UL/cUL 8750 Class 2 certification, NEMA 3R outdoor rating, and are certified for both indoor and outdoor use. Choose 12V for standard Class 2 LED strips and modules; choose 24V for Class 2 compliance and reduced voltage drop over longer cable runs.

TRIAC / Phase-Cut Dimming

The NT Series uses TRIAC (Triode for Alternating Current) phase-cut dimming — the dominant dimming method in North American residential and commercial buildings. It works by cutting a portion of each AC sine wave cycle to reduce the voltage delivered to the LED driver, which in turn reduces the LED brightness.

Built-in Junction Box

The built-in junction box is the NT Series’ most practical installation feature — it consolidates the driver electronics, dimming control circuitry, and the electrical junction box into one super-compact aluminum unit (only 6.97 x 2.76 x 1.38 inches).

Installation Guide

The NT Series must be installed in accordance with NEC Article 450 by a qualified professional electrician:

  • Disconnect power at the breaker before installation — never work on live circuits
  • Ground the driver case: connect the green ground wire to the building ground per NEC requirements
  • Use CL2 or better cabling for all low-voltage (output) wiring run inside walls
  • Do not run Class 2 low-voltage wiring in the same conduit as AC main power — maintain separation; cross at 90 degrees only
  • Connect LED fixture positive (+) to the red wire and negative (-) to the blue wire — observe polarity
  • Total LED load wattage must not exceed 60W — do not overload the driver
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the driver for heat dissipation
  • The 24V model output wiring does not require a licensed electrician (Class 2 circuit per NEC 725); the 12V model follows standard low-voltage wiring codes
