Spec-Grade Indoor Reliability

Designed for the rigors of commercial indoor environments, the ET/E Series 60W driver features a high-grade metal enclosure that ensures safe grounding and efficient thermal management. Unlike plastic alternatives, the iron shell provides superior mechanical protection and electromagnetic shielding, making it ideal for integration into retail shelving, display cases, and indoor light boxes. With an ETL listing, this driver is pre-verified for North American safety standards, accelerating your project’s inspection and approval process.

Key Features

  • Rugged Iron Enclosure: Professional-grade metal housing for enhanced durability and fire safety.
  • Dual-Series Versatility: Choose ET Series for Phase/Triac dimming or E Series for cost-effective fixed output.
  • ETL Listed Safety: Fully compliant with North American safety standards for indoor low-voltage lighting.
  • High Efficiency & Stability: Precise constant voltage control with high PFC to ensure LED longevity.
  • Thermal Convection Design: Metal shell facilitates efficient cooling without the need for noisy fans.
  • Comprehensive Protection: Auto-recovery for short-circuit, over-current, and over-voltage faults

Two Voltage Options

VoltageOutput CurrentTotal PowerETL Class 2Recommended Use
12V DC5.0A60W✓ ETL Class 2 certifiedStandard 12V LED strips, LED modules, signage, displays
24V DC2.5A60W✓ ETL Class 2 certifiedMost popular — LED strips, fixtures, Class 2 projects; NEC 725 compliant

Both models share the same compact iron case (7.88 x 3.35 x 1.46 inches), built-in junction box, ETL/cETL Class 2 certification, universal AC input, US Level VI efficiency, and 3-year warranty. The iron case is specifically designed for indoor use in controlled environments.

Super Compact Iron Case Design

The defining feature of the ET/E Series is its super compact iron case with built-in junction box — a cost-effective, engineering-grade solution for indoor LED installations where ETL certification, EMI performance, and thermal management are primary concerns.

  • Iron (steel) case: superior EMI shielding and thermal conductivity vs. plastic cases — reduces electromagnetic interference and extends component lifespan
  • Built-in junction box: eliminates the need for a separate junction box — reduces installation steps, material cost and labor time
  • Compact dimensions (7.88 x 3.35 x 1.46 inches): fits in standard ceiling spaces, inside light fixtures, and behind Signage
  • IP20 rated: protected against solid objects >12.5mm — designed for clean, dry indoor environments only
  • Built-in wiring terminals: input (AC) and output (DC) terminals in separate compartments — clean, code-compliant wire entry
  • US Level VI efficiency (>90%): exceeds US Department of Energy efficiency standards — lower operating cost, less heat generation
  • Constant voltage output: perfectly stable 12V or 24V DC — no flicker, no brightness variation under load

Installation Guide

The ET/E Series must be installed in accordance with NEC Article 450 by a qualified professional electrician:

  • Disconnect power at the breaker before installation — never work on live circuits
  • IP20 indoor only: install in dry, ventilated indoor locations — not suitable for damp, wet or outdoor environments
  • Adequate ventilation required: maintain clearance around the iron case for heat dissipation — do not enclose in unventilated spaces
  • Ground the driver case: connect the green ground wire to building ground per NEC requirements
  • Use CL2 or better cabling for all low-voltage output wiring run inside walls
  • Do not run Class 2 low-voltage wiring in the same conduit as AC main power — maintain separation; cross at 90 degrees only
  • Connect LED fixture positive (+) to the red wire and negative (-) to the blue wire — observe polarity
  • Total LED load wattage must not exceed 60W — do not overload the driver

What is the difference between the ET/E Series iron case and other LED drivers with plastic cases?
The iron (steel) case provides three key advantages over plastic-case LED drivers: (1) Superior EMI shielding — the iron enclosure acts as an electromagnetic shield, reducing radiated EMI emissions and protecting the driver from external interference. This is particularly important in commercial buildings with many electronic devices. (2) Better thermal conductivity — iron dissipates heat more efficiently than plastic, keeping internal components cooler and extending the driver’s operational lifespan. (3) Greater mechanical protection — the iron case provides superior physical protection for internal electronics against impact and vibration. The ET/E Series iron case also includes a built-in junction box — eliminating the need for a separate junction box in the installation, reducing material cost and installation labor.
